But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy.  Titus 3:4-5

Meditate

God’s love appeared at the beginning in creation. He set lights in the sky, gave boundaries to the waters and provided living things for sustenance, so that His goodness was evident. Therefore, His love was present before we ever appeared on earth when we were born. His love was poured out then, based on who He is, not on who we are or will be. This type of love settles our hearts, unifies our spirits.

Pray

What a kind God You are to us. By definition, You, O God, are love. Thank You for Your love that endures forever. We want to love You with all our hearts, and we want to love others as we love ourselves. As a body of believers, we receive Your love for us that enables us to respond by loving You and our neighbors.

Observe the sunrise or the sunset this week and realize that both the sun and the moon shine to illuminate our days and nights—a great part of creation from a loving God. As you look at sunrise or sunset, give thanks for His limitless love toward you, a love without borders.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the children of God! And that is what we are!  1 John 3:1

Meditate

My Father lavishes His love on me!  What a magnificent thought! The word “lavish” means “excessive or extravagant,” even described as “too much or wasteful.” How is it that my Heavenly Father loves me so much that He so extravagantly and excessively pours out His love on me? But I am His child, and this is exactly how the Bible describes His amazing love for me!

Pray

Heavenly Father, as I take these moments to meditate on, think about, such a beautiful word as “lavish,” which describes Your great love for me, it is beyond my power to completely comprehend such great, extravagant love. Please help me to receive and internalize Your excessive, abundant love for me, Your child.

Throughout this day, take a few moments to contemplate Your Heavenly Father’s lavish love for You, which He has poured into your heart through His Holy Spirit. Breathe in the breath prayer, “I receive Your limitless love” as you meditate on His great, extravagant love for you. Thank Him that you are His child.

I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ – and to know this love that surpasses knowledge…Ephesians 3:17-19

Meditate

The deepest need of the human heart is to know we are loved. The only person who can truly meet this need is God, and it is a privilege only the child of God can know. His love is literally unknowable, but Paul prays for us to know what is unknowable. Each day as I meditate on His Word and spend time in His presence something supernatural occurs; I can actually feel the unknowable love of God expand and grow in my heart!

Pray

Lord Jesus, I thank You that You make it possible by Your Spirit for me to know how great Your unknowable love is for me. As I spend time in Your presence, I open my heart to receive Your great love for me.

As you think about this passage throughout the day, see yourself opening your hands as a symbolic gesture to receive God’s unknowable love into your heart. As you do this, repeat the breath prayer, “I receive Your limitless love.”

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 8:38-39

Meditate

It is difficult to imagine a love that is so all-encompassing, so powerful, so never-ending, that there is absolutely nothing – NOTHING – that can separate me from that love. Yet, in my Heavenly Father, I find such love! There is no greater security in life than the security of His love.

Pray

Father, as I meditate on Your limitless love, help me to absorb the truth in this verse. I thank You that there is absolutely NOTHING that can ever separate me from Your powerful love. Draw me more deeply into Your perfect unending love.

As you think about this passage throughout the day, imagine Father God giving you a warm embrace. Breathe in the prayer, “Lord, thank You for Your limitless, unending love for me!” As He hugs you, receive His love and love Him back. Understand that nothing separates you from that embrace of love!

What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’ – the things God has prepared for those who love Him– these are the things God has revealed to us by His Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:9-1c

Meditate

In his letter Paul related God’s love by contemplating what great places and things are prepared for those who love Him. Language is not comprehensive enough to capture what God has prepared for us. Look, listen, smell and taste the Lord. He is good. When in His presence, feel His love wash over you. Everyone is different, so the experience will be unique to each of us.

Pray

Oh, how I love You, Lord. Show me what You have prepared for me. Expand my mind to help me grasp some of what You have for me. I am weak and small, but You are magnificent! Pull back the veil over my mind so I can see what You have prepared just for me.

Respond

Close your eyes and ask God to show you pictures of what He has prepared. It is beyond our wildest imaginings. It is more magnificent, more majestic, bigger and better than we anything can imagine.

The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.  Zephaniah 3:17

Meditate

Are there days you struggle with fear or insecurity? These feelings are even common for Christians. The prophet Zephaniah describes God’s perfect love. God Almighty is with us to protect and save us so we face no situation powerless or alone. His love for us is so great that He delights in us and rejoices over us in song. If the Lord responds to us that way, we must be of great value! We can rest secure in His great love.

Pray

Thank You, Lord, for Your limitless love. Thank You that I can rest secure in Your protection and salvation. Your love is amazing! I am so grateful that You value me so much as to take delight in me and rejoice over me.

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you how the Lord delights in you. Imagine being surrounded by His love as He sings over you. Thank Him for this amazing love. If there are fears or insecurities that plague you, make a determination to release them to the Lord and receive His limitless love in exchange.

But You, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.  Psalm 86:15

Meditate

This verse shows that unlike us, God is slow to anger, gracious and compassionate in every situation, and His love and faithfulness knows no bounds. Many times we take this for granted and fail to recognize how blessed we are to serve such a loving, faithful God.

Pray

Thank you, Father, for Your patience. Help me daily to feel Your love. Remind me that You are faithful always, and teach me to be more like You. I am here to bring You glory. Let Your grace and compassion be my tools.

Make it a point to notice those around you that may frustrate you or get on your nerves. Ask God to show you how He feels about them. As you listen, His limitless love will be revealed, and your heart will begin to change. You will see firsthand a love without bounds. You will also begin to realize more deeply God’s deep love for you.
